The Way That Is Right

Here is a place that we share what was so inspiring about a book you have read. For me I think we would all agree that the bible is the most important, and it's hard to imagine at times how they managed to keep their faith without the collection of the 66 books that we carry as nonchalant with our leather covers. :),

Today we have a history of writers that have added within their era's with such a wealth of definition that understanding has become commonplace. With authors like C.S. Lewis, Chuck Smith, Chuck Swidell, James Dobson, Joyce Meyers, Gayle Erwin, Frank Peretti and hundreds more how can we not tell the world?

Leave a living story of your favorite book and how authors have touched you in that special way that our Lord met you on that day.

I was looking for this book a long time ago but could never find it. Some one gave me a copy recently and I just finished it. This book is called "Please Make Me Cry!" by Cookie Rodriguez. It is good all the way through. It starts out with her in the hospital ready to be shipped to the morgue. She lives, and eventually is saved. She lived a life of Heroin addiction and prostitution. God uses her like you wouldn't believe. This book will let you see that there is hope for everyone no matter the circumstances.
My cousin is currently in Rehab right now do you think this is a book I could forward on to her for reading?

"Liberty and Tyranny"
by Mark Levin

Dear brothers and sisters, I will never be, nor do I feel the need to be, a Pastor who believes that political, cultural and behavioral issues are off limits for comment or discussion in the church setting. In fact, I believe it is part of the Pastor's role to incorporate prophetic insight, regarding these topics, into the ministry he is called to fulfill. In view of this fact, I want to suggest a book that will help every believer understand the difference between "Liberty and Tyranny", conservatism and liberalism.

God's word reveals that God has chosen to utilize liberty in the way he leads His people. God's word reveals that the use of tyranny as a leadership style is something that God refuses to do.

Anyway: This book is a must read for those who want to understand the battle between the political powers in the U.S.A. today. America is in grave danger and every believer should know and understand why.

This book is fascinating and informative.
Apart from the Bible, some of the most influential and outstanding books I have read have been:

The Gospel According To Jesus by John MacArthur

The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment by Jeremiah Burroghs

Holiness by J. C. Ryle

Instruments in the Redeemer's Hands by Paul David Tripp

These books, among many others have helped me focus on my Lord and my life, and the spiritual direction to which I must lead my family and in being a faithful servant to my local Church body.

Currently I am in chapter 3 of a book called "Pleasing People, how not to be an approval junkie" by Lou Priolo, so far I can highly recommend this book, although it is very convicting, which is always a good thing.
"Holy Sweat"
by Tim Hansel

Another book from the CCMM library. I absolutely loved this book. This is a book of encouragement to get off the couch and start moving. To live the Christian Life at your personal peak performance level by letting God use you completely. It talks about how we hold ourselves back and how to really let go and let God take control. Loved it!!!! Hope you all check it out of the church library.
I read the whole thing LOL. Nice book and very encouraging. When I look around at some of the activity in these four wall, I see how this book "Holy Sweat" has a similar ring to it. I like the way that Kurt put it on his blog too.
"Have you discovered yet that second only to the blessing of experiencing Christ in biblical worship first hand, comes the great J-O-Y, fun and priviledge of sharing Jesus Christ with another person?"

It is precious to break bread in person with many, but we must also break through the barriers that limit anyone's potential.
