Why We Pray at At your computer

August 29, 2011 from 7pm to 9pm
We can read of the instructions given by Paul for us in 1Tim 2:1-3 where it reads,"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings, and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior." That's why we pray on Monday nights @ 7 pm,…See More

Water into Wine: Jesus' first miracle

Posted on May 2, 2010 at 10:42pm 0 Comments

I have been reading a book called "Step Out of the Boat" by Levi Land. Today I came across a section where he talks about Jesus' first miracle turning water into wine and I just had to share.

As you may recall the story of the wedding feast where they ran out of wine. Mary (Jesus' Mother) tells Jesus that they have no more wine (John 2:3). Jesus pointed to six big water pots. Then He told the servants to go fill them to the brim (John 2:7) "Six" - man's number. "Water Pots"…

Crazy Love - Encouragement

Posted on January 15, 2010 at 1:08pm 2 Comments

For the last couple of weeks I have been really drawn to God’s words regarding the church members, loving one another and serving as one body in Christ. This morning I was reading my book "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan and wanted to share some of what I read with everyone.

“When we work for Christ out of obligation, it feels like work. But when we truly love Christ, our work is a manifestation of that love, and it feels like love.”

Jesus said, John 16:33“These things I have… Continue

Ezekiel 40-48 Sunday Night Bible Study

I have been trying to look up more information on the Millennial Temple since I have been having a hard time understanding and visiualizing what it will look like. I came across this website that has models and picures of the temple and the division of land. It also talks about how the "prince" is David. If you get a chance can you take a look? I think the pictures and models are helpful but I am most interested on what you guys think of their concept that David is the prince instead of the… Continue

God's Love in Our Children

Posted on July 27, 2009 at 9:30am 1 Comment

I see God’s love for us in our children. When a baby is born, does that baby have to earn our love? “NO” of course not. There is nothing they did to earn our love. As our children grow we try and guide them and keep them safe. At times they may disappoint, try our patients or even make us angry but we love them. We are children of God. There is nothing we did to earn His love, no works could pay for the grace and love we have been given. Yes, we may stumble, we may disappoint at times but God… Continue

"God's intention is to make us full and complete. Its not that judgment will fall on us if e fail to make the proper response to His Word, it's rather that we miss out on all the good God has in store for us.
For a plant, the failure to bear fruit is not a punishment visited upon it, but an unhappy depature from the purpose for which it was created."
