Coincidence?

‎1Pe 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

As Christians we are called to submit ourselves to CHRIST as HIS bondservants, and HE is directing us to “gird up the loins of your mind”. HE wants us to take control of it, to turn from our sins, knock down the strongholds of the enemy in our mind and to be devoted to HIM.
This phrase means to get ready for some heavy duty work. To tie up the loose articles of clothing that can get in your way and make you fall. GOD is telling us to do just that to our minds.
Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

This is done by reading the Bible, studying it, devouring it like a hungry man on a ham, pulling down those strongholds of the enemy in our minds.
Luk 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Luk 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

“Be sober”; In addition to removing anything from our mind and our lives that could trip us up, we need to be wary, vigilant; always guarding ourselves against the world. We don’t want to be like those virgins that didn’t have enough oil in their lamps and missed the coming of the BRIDE GROOM; the Revelation of JESUS CHRIST! Isn’t that interesting that Peter would use this terminology concerning CHRIST’s return, long before John was given the vision on Patmos! Coincidence; I think not!
The return of the BRIDE GROOM/JESUS CHRIST; that’s what we are waiting on, THE BLESSED HOPE!
