The Way That Is Right

For the last couple of weeks I have been really drawn to God’s words regarding the church members, loving one another and serving as one body in Christ. This morning I was reading my book "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan and wanted to share some of what I read with everyone.

“When we work for Christ out of obligation, it feels like work. But when we truly love Christ, our work is a manifestation of that love, and it feels like love.”

Jesus said, John 16:33“These things I have spoken unto you that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Life isn’t perfect when you follow Christ wholeheartedly; you will have trouble, Jesus says – it is pretty much guaranteed. But he has overcome the world. So take heart, keep on, fight the good fight, pray continuously, and do not grow weary. There is nothing better than giving up everything and stepping into a passionate love relationship with God, the God of the universe who made galaxies, leaves, laughter and me and you.

Thank you so much for your response Greg, I was apprehensive about my post because I didn't want people to take me wrong. I just wanted to express that by striving for a closer relationship for Christ we want to serve Him. It is His love coming through us that people see. Sometimes serving might have its difficulties (like with Paul) but because of the love relationship it doesn't feel like a burden.

So encouraging...When I speak to others about where we are currently meeting, C2M2, this is exactly what I see there. It is true that they will know us by our love and you are one of the many that live and act the title of a servant!
