The Way That Is Right

To my brothers and sisters in Christ,

During times of difficulty when we are hard pressed we have an opportunity like no other to magnify and glorify the Lord. To respond in a godly way instead of man's way, magnifies and glorifies Jesus. The greek word "glory" or "doxa" means "to give a correct estimation of."

Our response to difficult times also reveals to us what we really believe and who we really trust. In times of need do we run to people or to Him?

Psalm 27:5 "For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock."

" How do you respond to a brother when there is hurt? Hurt back or love?

Romans 12:19-21 says "Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengnece is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. "But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you heap burning coals upon his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

These are ways we can show our trust in the Lord because they are not natural but supernatural. We can do this because we love Him and have His strength.

Let us move on in maturity of our faith and rest in our relationship with Him.

Psalm 42:5 "Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence"

May Glod bless you all. Num 6: 24-26

We do have a living hope in Jesus! Whatever He has allowed will prove to be excellent! In Romans 8:28, Paul does not say, "You should know that all things work together for good..." or "Probably things work for good..." but rather "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Yes...we do use this verse a lot, but help us really believe it! The word "know" (oida) suggests a fullness of knowledge.
Remember...NOTHING can separate us from His love! Romans 8:35-39 Thanks for the encouragement, JoE!

Way to go JoEllen... I have been waiting to view a blog by you and this is fabulous. Well put and very encouraging in these times of difficulty in particular, the last part of Ps. 42 about "His presence". Boy did I need to here that!

Thank you for your post. I believe most of the congregation already knows this. The enemy shows his true colors; a saint shows his/hers as well, when we are under attack.
"The joy of the LORD is our strength."
