The Way That Is Right

Have you ever felt invincible? Only once in my life did I KNOW that God was going to get me from here to there and my life was going to go on in His will.

Why we moved to Vegas: Jim applied for several Park Ranger positions. After a few months of waiting to hear, 2 seemed promising: one in northern California and one at Red Rock Canyon. He was so sure he was going to get the CA job - however I received 2 different verses from the Lord confirming HIS decision - Isaiah 45:11 "This is what the LORD says -- the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Concerning things to come, do you question Me about My children or give Me orders about the work of My hands?"
And also Isaiah 58:11 "The LORD will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail."
(italics and bold mine)
From that point on I KNEW we were going to Vegas!

Fast forward to moving day.
We went to pick up the moving truck. The one we got, a 25 footer, had a bad clutch so we inquired about another. The rental agency told us they were out of 25 footers and to take the 28 footer. Miracle #1: when we packed up that thing it was FULL from front to back, top to bottom. God gave us the bigger one because He knew we needed that extra space. Score: God - 1, the enemy - 0
When we tried to put up the ramp after loading it didn't go back in, so we called the rental agency again. About 3 am a repairman arrived and banged and banged until it was back on the track where it belonged. Miracle # 2 - God - 2, enemy - 0

We drove off the next afternoon, trying to get as many miles under us as possible. Jim's brother drove the truck towing our van, while we followed in his van. We all stopped around midnight at a lonely rest stop and quickly realized the truck was locked with the keys inside! We discussed what to do and AAA was called. Now a coat hanger would have been a very useful tool at this point, but I had changed all the hangers over to the tubular plastic long ago. Just to see, I checked the back of the van where all the hanging clothes were, and there was one lone metal hanger. So it was fished through the triangular windwing on the truck and we were able to unlock the door. Miracle #3 - God - 3, enemy - 0

The next day, as we approached Primm, the truck blew a tire! We pulled into the resort, called the trucking agency and were told that all the repair trucks were busy and that it would be about 3 hours until they were able to replace the tire. Jim's brother went in and got a room so he could get a nap. We took the girls to breakfast and then out to the playground. As we passed by the parking lot we noticed a repairman working on the truck. As we approached he said, "OK, you're back on the road." This was probably an hour after we'd called. Miracle #4 God - 4, enemy - 0

All along that trip, I KNEW I was invincible and as long as I was in HIS will I was going to arrive safely. Now, I am just curious what exactly His will is for us; who are we here for? What is our purpose in Vegas?
