Tit 3:14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

1Th 2:9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring
night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we
... preached unto you the gospel of God.
1Th 2:10 Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and
unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:
1 Th 2:11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every
one of you, as a father doth his children,
1Th 2:12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his
kingdom and glory.

Don’t just lie around and expect things to drop into your lap; get up, be useful. By this you have a good witness to those around you.
When you conduct your ministry, don’t expect them to support you in any way; but make preparations to support yourself. Even though we as Christians are supposed to support each other and provide some remunerations towards our leader; as that leader, you should not expect it or demand it.

Luk 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
Luk 10:3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
Luk 10:4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.
Luk 10:5 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
Luk 10:6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.
Luk 10:7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

Don’t be a leach, be a giver; give those around you the gospel and the love to nurture the seeds you plant so the HOLY SPIRIT who draws people to the LORD may have a bountiful harvest.
